Choosing a Contractor
Here are several suggestions to help you choose a good contractor:
- Request references. Call past customers and ask how closely the contractor came to staying on time and on budget.
- Ask past customers about the contractor's workmanship, and visit a couple of past projects to see the work for yourself.
- Talk to the contractor about how they will minimize noise, protect your pets and plants, and keep dirt out of your house.
- Consider how you feel when talking with the contractor. You will be working closely with them in your home over many months.
